| | September 4th 2009 09:59 PM | Notice | Shame on you, Ben Novack!
|
It has come to my attention that Ben Novack cheated—yes, CHEATED!—in order to win the Great Romance Novella Competition of 2008. The rules of the competition, which were readily available to all participants, CLEARLY OUTLINE that each submission must be an ORIGINAL WORK. Ben chose to submit a novella that was not his own. Rather than his own work, Ben chose to submit a selection from Fabio's novel Comanche.
Well, Ben, nice try. But we have caught you red handed, good sir! (Or should I say PERFIDIOUS SIR!?)
Therefore, Ben, you must return your winnings and may not participate in future romance novella competitions.
Because our once celebrated victor is in fact a scandalous louse, the Great Romance Novella Competition committee has decided to begin the contest anew.
Please send your novellas to Jule.
Cordially,
Steven L. Merkel

| Someone has to say it: I think Ample Parking's run its course. Many people no longer post here. We all use other platforms, like Facebook, Twitter and tumblr, to do what we used to do here -- put together social engagements and post links to things that amuse us. This site could only be saved by resurrecting it for some other purpose not already provided elsewhere. That seems unlikely.
I'll see you in the internet's other corners!
